Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank Ltd. was established on 5th October 1953 in Rajkot under the visionary leadership of late Shri Keshavlal Amrutlal Parekh as Chairman and late Shri Janmashankar Antani as Managing Director. Beginning with a modest capital of ₹4,890 contributed by 59 members, the Bank became the first co-operative institution to commence operations in the erstwhile State of Saurashtra and was inaugurated by the renowned “Sahakar Maharshi” late Shri Vaikunthbhai Mehta.

Over the decades, the Bank has emerged as one of Gujarat’s leading multi-state scheduled co-operative banks, serving more than 7.20 lakh deposit accounts with a deposit base exceeding ₹4,400 crores and credit facilities of over ₹2,400 crores. Guided by a legacy of visionary leadership and a commitment to innovation, the Bank computerized all its branches by 1995, attained Scheduled Bank status in 1988, and was registered under the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act in 2001. Today, it proudly continues to support the growth of industries, businesses, and communities across Gujarat and Maharashtra.
